I went to paint at Park Plaza restaurant. It’s such a lovely place with all the plants hanging from above and all the people with their pets. I couldn’t resist painting this couple with their dog. The puppy was a perfect subject. He was so curious that he kept giving me a perfect pose and looking straight at me.
There wasn’t much interaction with anyone I was painting today really. Only a man and a woman came up and the woman said she really liked my painting and that she was trying to sit up extra straight for me. Her friend said that I should put “Lenny”
right there and he pointed to the seat he had been sitting in.
I ordered some Yarka Professional Pan Watercolors from the internet and they arrived in time for me to use them today. I really like how bright they right out of the pan are I only used one layer for the most part. I have to put so many layers of color on to get any kind
of intensity with my other paints which is fine when I’m in my studio with all the time in the world, but when I’m outside, I want to be able to get something done quickly.
Hi Barb! It's Hilary. I am going to add this to my favorites and check it often!
ReplyDeleteAlso, a friend of mine is a blogger, and her husband plays the banjo. I once commented on "The notorius banjo brothers and bob" and she got some search term traffic because of it!

Hi Hilary. I'm happy to hear from you. I'm just trying to get a little attention here; I'm getting as little as anyone. Lucas took me to Whole Foods today for Miether's Day (Old gaelic way of saying mother; inside joke with Lucas and I) We had sushi and sake. Does your husband still work there? (forgive me for being "medio" senile; I forgot his name!
